Job Description:
We are looking to hire an Offshore Android Engineer who is passionate about mobile app development and has a strong background in building and maintaining Android applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance mobile applications for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Android Engineer with a strong portfolio of released applications.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, offshore team environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with mobile app development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
