The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, a grantmaking institution, is exploring how to better understand and improve Indigenous participation in open source software and digital infrastructure. If you are a student, researcher, or faculty member who contributes to open source projects and/or utilize open source software as part of your work, we would like to invite you to be a part of the conversations we’re having around investment in this space.
We anticipate hosting the conversations virtually on Zoom and ask for a time commitment of 60-90 minutes (Date TBD this summer). If you would like to participate or make recommendations, please contact Elizabeth Vu at vu@sloan.org with the subject line, “Natives in Tech and open source software development”. Thank you!
